...And Then Love Had Ran It's Course     1-17-11

Baby, I truly can't believe it came to this
It's hard thinking of the right things to say
I'll always remember everything, from first kiss
until that last night at the speedway

I will always cherish our past
and please, don't sell yourself so fast
I don't blame either of us for this tragedy
neither of us are insane, irrational, or crazy

these feelings for you have yet to fade
and I swear, my love for you was never a charade
never had I once questioned it for you
and during storms, the light had always shined through

Remember darling, love is worth waiting for
the last thing you said, I'll never forget
now I must go on, and walk through the door
and live my life without a single regret
This poem is more or less a "sequel" to the other poem I submitted "Love Is Worth Waiting For..." I wrote "Love Is Worth Waiting For..." as I was falling in love while in a relationship, and this one follows the same writing pattern and I wrote it at the very end of the relationship. Love is a tricky thing to play with.
